Director - Fund Administration

Futures Recruitment Services are proud to be supporting a brand new client in their executive search for a Director in Fund Services. Reporting to the Managing Director the purpose of the position is to take responsibility for the general and transactional administration, corporate governance, and secretarial services provided to fund client entities under administration in Guernsey.

Being based in Guernsey, the Director will play a major role in ensuring that the culture of the Guernsey office reflects the group values.


Key responsibilities:

  • Have overall responsibility for the secretarial, governance, and transactional oversight of fund client entities under administration in Guernsey;

  • Maintain excellent client relationships through regular communication including face to face meetings;

  • Oversee, and be actively involved where necessary, the onboarding of new client entities including a collection of correct due diligence;

  • Ensure secretarial and governance deadlines applying to client entities are met;

  • Oversee, and be actively involved where necessary, the preparation and distribution of board packs for client entity board meetings where required;

  • Sit on the boards of regulated and non-regulated client entities as required;

  • Attendance at client entity board meetings and drafting accurate minutes where necessary;

  • Closely monitor client entity WIP, maximise WIP recoverability and identify opportunities for additional revenue; and

  • Organise all staff in the Guernsey Funds team so as to achieve maximum efficiency and output including reporting lines, entity allocation, and responsibilities;

  • Oversee the appraisal process for all Guernsey Funds staff;

  • Undertake appraisals for direct reports;

  • Play the leading role in recruiting staff for the Funds team;

  • Assist with the recruitment of other Guernsey staff where required; and

  • Ensure all Funds staff receives sufficient training in order to undertake their roles.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a recognised professional qualification;

  • Previous experience in a similar senior-level role in the financial services sector;

  • In-depth knowledge of Guernsey laws and regulations as they relate to structures under administration; and

  • In-depth knowledge of the Guernsey Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing.

  • Integrity, honesty, and professionalism;

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, management, and shareholders within the Group as well as clients and third-party service providers;

  • Proactive, solution-focused, and self-sufficient;

  • Deliver work of the highest professional standard with attention to detail; and

  • Ability to achieve goals and deadlines where operational considerations may compete.
